Just had a wonderful workshop visit today at the Bronx Charter School for the Arts. The kids were great and asked wonderful questions. There pieces are already sounding wonderful.
I tried something new and had kids ask question during the workshop by using GoSoapbox. I loaded the app on an iPad and kids were able to pass it around as they asked questions. Here are some of their questions:
How do the instruments change the rhythm from really low to really high?
When did you first made noteflight
What are the purple notes
Why do instruments have different notes?
How can you make different instrumen
How can different instruments do different tempos
How high can a bassoon go
If you do what instrument do you play
Would it be difficult for the music players to do our piece if the tempo is to fast or if we have several melodies but one main one.
How do you make the mood of your music sound different !
How fast can a violin go
How fast can a bassoon go?
How long have you conducted?
What is the best instrument(s) to use the very soft to very loud dynamics?
Can clashes be helpful at times
How many measures should you have for a melody?
Is it sometimes hard to play some songs
How do you play low.
We have a workshop visit tomorrow at St. Saviour and we had one last week at Wagner Secondary School for Arts and Technology.
I'll post pics and videos soon!
